(1) External iSight is, as you recognize, a Firewire webcam. It has its own built-in microphone.īuilt-in iSight is a USB camera. It has no mic of its own. The aperture opened to the max setting and "whited out" the video. However, the generic driver wouldn't allow the camera to "talk" with windows. The installer placed them in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ However, windows 7 didn't recognize the drivers (either automatically or when manually found).
